Igneous rocks have originated from the consolidation of magma within the earth. They consist of tightly interlocking crystals of a variety of minerals. When the magma cools slowly, crystals are able to grow to a large size and a typical coarse grained rock such as Granite is produced. When rapidly cooled, finer grained rocks a formed such as Obsidian. Rocks are trimmed to fit the card tray sizes which you select.
