Ammonoids are among the most recognisable fossils in the world. Their unique coiled shells make them identifiable by both children to professional geologists. As shells can vary, ammonoids are extremely useful as zoning fossils, a particular ammonite will be from a particular period in time. Ammonoids can be sub divided into three groups due to their suture lines. These are Goniatites, Ceratites and Ammonites, each one having different suture patterns which easily identifies them. We stock a great range of ammonoid specimens from all over the world.
