Mineral Gallery


Our mineral gallery simply contains mineral specimens which are basically just to good to sell among our usual mineral specimens. Such mineral specimens are large and are of extremely high quality showing in clear detail crystal structure, colour etc. However, due to the rarity of these specimens we only have one of each in stock, and such unique specimens are popular among collectors and tend to be sold fast.

We have a very large number of Aragonite specimens from Oughoud . Morocco. They vary in form, from the branching stalactitic form called flos - ferri (flowers of iron) to the white needle shaped, delicate crystals. Some specimens even have a globular habit. Most specimens are white to a light brown colour. Smaller specimens are available - see our mineral section. All are very reasonably priced.

The reverse side of the specimen consists of smooth natural rock, the whole specimen is undamaged and without bruising. The specimen size is 9" x 6" x 3 1/2" depth. A large specimen of Aegirine from Sulitjella, Arctic Norway. Weight of specimens is 3.5 kilos size is 17x12x8 cm. Radiating aggregates of black Aegirine crystals set in a matrix of Plagioclase Feldspar. Aegirine is named after the Scandinavian god of the sea, Aegir, as the minerals was first described in Norway.
