Petrification by impregnation of calcereous shells by calcite, silica replacing wood, compounds of iron replacing shells include Hematite (both oxides), Siderite (Carbonate), Pyrites (Sulphides). The set includes an insect in Amber and an example of nacreous replacement of an ammonite segment. An oolitic mould is also included.
