INTRODUCING THE NEW GEO TRANSIT Designed by professionals for professionals, the new GEO Pocket Transit is the latest addition to our famous pocket transit line, legendary for simplicity and durabiliy. More than 100 years ago, David William Brunton took the initiative to change his world. Hauling heavy surveying equipment into the field day after day, the young engineer sweated through jobs in Leadville and Aspen, Colorado. The Canadian-borned mine-manager recognized the need for something simpler and smaller, an item that would be able to fit in his vest pocket, perform the required tasks with extreme precision and also be as rugged as the country that surrounded him. The dream materialized in the Pocket Transit a hand held surveying compass that could also measure vertical angles. The Pocket Transit is now used the world over by engineers, surveyors, geologists, foresters and military personnel and is known simply as the 'Brunton'.
